I’m Hamish Robins, a tattoo artist based in West End, Brisbane, working out of Old Soul Tattoo Studio. I specialize in bold, clean, and lasting American Traditional tattoos; strong lines, rich black and timeless imagery drawn from the roots of the craft.

Building a portfolio with an obsession and focus on classic tattoo imagery for over a decade and tattooing since 2022, I’ve been committed to making tattoos that not only look great today but age well and stay readable for life. Whether you're after custom work or a classic design straight from the flash sheet, I approach every tattoo with care, precision and full respect for the tradition it comes from.

At Old Soul, I work alongside a team of skilled artists in a private, laid-back studio that values comfort, safety and professionalism. We welcome both walk-ins and bookings at our space on Boundary Street in West End.

I draw heavy inspiration from legends like Dennis Cockell, Pat ‘Picture Machine’ Martynuik and Tony Polito, artists whose work laid the foundation for what American Traditional is all about: strength, boldness, and longevity. That legacy runs through everything I do, and I’m proud to carry it forward with every tattoo I make.

Getting tattooed by me means being heard, respected and fully informed. I aim to make the experience comfortable, especially for first-timers whom I will book out additional time for if possible, with no rush and no pressure. My motto is simple: if I can, I will, and I’ll always give you the best tattoo available.
